DHROOPAD is a Bengali American cultural organization in the greater Washington DC Metro area formed in 2000 with an objective to promote the rich Bengali cultural heritage, and to foster arts and literature as a force that transcends social, cultural and religious barriers and instigates compassion for humanity.  DHROOPAD is certified as a public charity organization under IRS 501 (c) (3).

DHROOPAD welcomes you to yet another unique Musical Evening w/ Aahang of India and an acclaimed Sorod Artist, Soumya Charaverty, of Washington DC.    The musically committed and talented 5-member Aahang team was scheduled to perform at Bangamela2012, but unfortunately we missed them due to delays in issuance of US visa. This team is partially sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
